mikes midlife round the world in 96 days

Well my flight was cancelled this morning and had to take detour to chicago,then on to mexico city,so from a 3am rise i arrived at 8.30 pm.The language barrier has already started to be a problem so i need to listen and pick up quickly.
Took a walk around to find my feet,place is real smelly and dirty.i never noticed any litter bins on corners,only 4 call boxes at each junction just about.i felt pretty safe on my own walking about,but i think there is gonna be a food issue with me.Most places are street stalls at night(however i never strolled too many blocks away ,bout 6 blocks in diff directions).
Hostel Amigo seems a busy and hip place to stay,clean and roomy enough.As with most hostels you can tend to walk by without noticing them.
So.ll just have to wait and see what tommorrow brings......
