Totally different place to cusco, even though they both have the main plazas.very few tourists here i noticed, the plaza is the place for the locals to hang out.Big difference is not many touts/beggars here though the driving is just as comical and dreadful.
I went on the colca canyon tour,2 days ,a few villages and a hotel all to myself.i wondered why i had the honeymoon suite with balcony. At night was the local folkshow which i participated in,glad i had a bottle of wine. Then onto a disco with the tour rep, ghost town by the specials would have been an appropiate song to have been played.
Unfortunately being the weekend i think the condors were on a day trip,3 hrs waiting and none appeared.
So thats my encounter with peru come to and end.I think i will come back to south america and travel more here, the culture is interesting and its pretty cheap too.
